52nd District Court, Division 4 – In Michigan, the District Courts have jurisdiction over adult misdemeanor proceedings and all adult criminal cases begin in these courts. The 52nd  District Court, division 4, is a small claims court aimed at settling claims without the aid of a lawyer. The court handles cases where damages are less than $6,500.
