Defense attorney J. Dallo explains the financial cost of being charged with Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) in Michigan. If you have been arrested for OWI in Bloomfield Hills, Birmingham, Detroit, or surrounding areas of Oakland or Macomb County, contact Dallo Law, P.C. at (248) 283-7000 to schedule a free and confidential consultation to discuss your defense.
The impact of an OWI conviction on a person’s record affects their ability to work, because their license might be restricted, it might be suspended. So there’s that sort of impact there, and so I try to do everything I can to mitigate the factors that would just make my client’s life even more difficult, such as more points on their record. And more points leads to higher insurance bills, I mean it just becomes this downward spiral. Because I care about their future and I want them to be successful, to get past this situation in their life, of course, if they have to take care of costs, let’s take care of those. But I do my best to mitigate those things, like I said so that they can move on with their life.
